Christmas Tour

This is just a few examples of why I haven't been bloggin a lot lately. I would like to take you on a "tour" of my home decorated for Christmas...

This is the tree in my bedroom. It is decorated in burgundy & gold and has an ornament from every year that my husband & me have been together. We get an ornament engraved every year. Believe it or not, this little tree has 17 engraved ornaments along with all the other ornaments on it...

Here is my Christmas village...

Here are a few odd & ends decorations I have...

This was my grandmother's nativity scene...

This is another nativity scene I have. My husband liked the way this picture turned out with the shadow effect.

This is the tree I have in my kitchen. It is perfect with the sugar cookie & gingerbread ornaments. Not to mention the candy canes and a lollipop for a tree top.

These "old fashion" books and toys are on the table with the "gingerbread" tree...

This is my tree in the living room. It is made up of old fashion snowmen, pinecones, berries, red birds and snowflakes. I call it my "wildlife" tree.

I hope you enjoyed my Christmas tour. It is hard to get a good picture of a Christmas tree. If you leave the flash on, it fades out the lights, but if you turn off the flash, you can barely see the ornaments. I tried to compromise and do a little of both. I also have a wreath on both doors and a plain evergreen wreath with red bows on every window. I love Christmas and now I have time to set back and enjoy!

One Nation - Under God

I was taking pictures of my nephew today and snapped this shot. It looked to me like he was saying the Pledge of Allegiance.
Too cute!

Luau for Charity

The sportsman's club that my husband is a member of holds an annual luau for charity. It consists of a band, a pig roast, good times and of course a "money dance" where all of the proceeds go to a selected charity. This year's charity was St. Jude Children's Hospital. It is always a competition each year to see who raises the most money, the men or the women. I don't know why the men just don't give up...they never win!
Above is my gorgeous husband before the party.
And of course he had to have one of me as well...
You can't have a party without the electric slide...

Gettin' the pig ready to eat!

Above is my friend Jenn, she is a hoot.

Above is Jenn's boyfriend, Neal. I wonder how much money he collected?

Above is a perfect example why the women always win...LOL

Above is a couple of the women who danced for charity.

Above is my cousin and she would die if she knew I posted this picture.
In the end, I think the club raised close to $1000 to send to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
A good time for a good cause.
